Education
In the education & training sector, the ITC's education & training committee aims to improve the lives of learners by injecting positive change into UK learning and assisting educational establishments - by the application of our ICT skills and our managerial and entrepreneurial experience.
We focus in particular on the schools that we support, the disadvantaged, and on best practice in the use of ICT in schools. We expect to make the most difference by concentrating our efforts in a small number of high impact projects.
The network of schools that we support and work closely with includes:
-
The Hammersmith Academy, where we are one of its two sponsors (the other is the Mercers' Company). Opening in September 2011, Hammersmith Academy is a brand new, non-denominational, all-ability, co-educational secondary school for 11-18 year olds, with specialisms in Creative & Digital Media and IT.
-
Lilian Baylis Technology School is a secondary school in north Lambeth. We helped it become a Specialist School focussing on technology, and assist it in a ongoing way through a range of activities with pupils and staff.
Members of the Information Technologists' Company do a range of other ongoing work in the education & training field, and the Company welcomes approaches from educational establishments and educational organisations who need strategic or tactical advice in relation to ICT.

GAYL to the WCIT
Give as You Live (GAYL) raises money for the WCIT Charity every time you shop online. It costs you nothing, it’s hassle free and you pay the same price as normal to favourites, like Amazon, M&S and John Lewis.
If every member joined up donations could add up to £000’s per annum. Persuade your family, friends and colleagues to join in and we could seriously boost our fund.
